Deep Tissue Massage

Do you need to work out deep muscle tension, or help recovering from muscle strain? A Deep Tissue Massage will be for you. This massage is also popular with clients who have chronic muscle tension, structural abnormalities of the spine, or muscle injury.

A Deep Tissue Massage uses strong deep strokes to reach deep within the muscle fascia to really get to work relieving knots and strains within the muscle fibres.

This massage is of a strong pressure, and can be uncomfortable for clients, communication is key with the treatment.  I will regularly communicate with the client throughout the routine, to work on problem areas and ensure the pressure is enough to get the job done, but not too painful.
This is not a relaxing massage, and I would recommend a Swedish Massage if this is what the goal of your treatment is.

Prices are determined by length of treatment, so treatments can be tailored to the individual upon arrival to specific areas of the body.

Arrival: What to expect

Please arrive 10-15mins before your start time to organise paperwork if not already completed, and get ready for your massage. I will give you space and time to undress privately and lie down on the massage table, and cover yourself with a towel. Please note that you MUST wear underwear at all times, for any treatment. It is important to note that I am a professional Massage Therapist, trained to give professional treatments.

By default, I will play some relaxing music during your massage, as it can help you to unwind. Don't be afraid to say if you'd prefer not to have it - or indeed if you're unhappy with anything else in the treatment room. Being content in your surroundings is important for relaxation and will help you sink happily into your massage. The same goes for talking. Some people like to chat a bit; others don't. It doesn't matter as long as you're comfortable, relaxed and receptive.

I will ask about the pressure I am applying during the massage, if at any point you are not comfortable with the pressure, please feel free to communicate.

After the treatment, you'll probably feel quite relaxed and maybe even sleepy, so give yourself plenty of time to unwind. All massage can leave you feeling thirsty - this is because your body is flushing out toxins. Drink plenty of water afterwards and you will start to feel right as rain again.
